3 Tips for Using YouTube in Education

YouTube is the platform that has been around the longest and is likely the one you and your students are most familiar with. One of the things that makes any video on YouTube engaging is the power of editing. Taking advantage of tools and tricks to make sure your content is clean and polished can make all the difference, even if you can’t spend hours editing your lessons. Another thing to keep in mind is the use of visuals during your lessons. Finding images or even linking to additional resources can make a huge difference in retention and understanding. The last thing to keep in mind when creating video content is to let your personality shine through. Just like any other influencer or expert you may follow, being yourself in videos makes you more approachable and relatable. Whether it is having something in your background, telling personal stories, or even just sticking to an editing or script style, being yourself can make a huge difference for your students.
