3 Ways to Make Summer Learning More Engaging with Social Media

  • Meet them where they are at
    • This applies to both the content and the platform. Knowing where your students are watching content, and the types of content they like, you can work elements of that into your lessons, and post on the right platform for your audience.
  • Don’t be afraid to remix
    • Instead of always making new content for each platform, make your content work for you and your students. For example, students who like longer form content will enjoy watching lessons on youtube. But, for students who prefer learning in smaller segments, uploading clips of the lesson as a tiktok series may help them get more engaged.
  • Have fun with trends
    • Finding ways to get creative to work trends into your content can be a fun way to get your students engaged AND make creating content a little more fun for you. Whether it is dueting a video on tiktok or finding a way to incorporate a meme into your lessons, finding ways to work trends into your content can make your students excited to engage in lessons.
